THE TSUKANOV ART COLLECTION

The Sots Art section was expanded with the acquisition of Alesander Kosolapov’s “Lenin and Coca-Cola” (1982), which became in its own way the artist’s personal “calling card.” For more than 25 years, the painting was located in the collection of Alexander Valger (New York), who acquired the work directly from the artist in 1985. This is the first, original version of the painting (acryllic on canvas), which subsequently received wide distribution in numerous visual formats.
